Wedding of Daenerys Targaryen and Khal Drogo

The wedding of Daenerys Targaryen and Khal Drogo sealed the alliance the exiled Viserys Targaryen had brokered with the Dothraki: his sister became the khal's wife in exchange for an army Viserys hoped would win him back the Iron Throne.
It took place in 298 AC and marked the start of Daenerys's life among the riders of the Dothraki Sea, far from everything she had known.
Marriage Agreement
Viserys struck the bargain himself: he handed his sister Daenerys over to Khal Drogo and received in return the promise of ten thousand Dothraki riders, the force he was counting on to win back his family's throne.
The ceremony bound the Targaryen name to Drogo's khalasar, one of the most powerful warlords of the Dothraki Sea.
