Daenora Targaryen

Daenora Targaryen was the youngest daughter of Prince Rhaegel Targaryen and Alys Arryn, and held the title of Princess of the Seven Kingdoms.

She belonged to a branch of House Targaryen whose place in the succession to the Iron Throne was decided by others: first her elder siblings, then the rest of her family.

Chapter 1

A discarded heir

Books only

During the reign of her uncle Aerys I Targaryen, the succession to the Iron Throne ran through Daenora's elder siblings, Aelor and Aelora. When Aelora died, the throne did not pass to her: her uncle Maekar was proclaimed heir without Daenora being considered, probably because of her age.

Chapter 2

232–233 ACBooks only

In this chapterAerion Targaryen

Daenora married her cousin Aerion Targaryen. In 232 AC she had a son with him, Maegor, who would follow the same path as his mother: left out of the succession at the Great Council of 233 AC.

Chapter 3

A trail that fades

Books only

What became of Daenora afterward is unknown. Given her age, she has probably already died; if she were still alive, she would by now be very old.
