Rhaegel Targaryen
Rhaegel Targaryen was the third son of King Daeron II Targaryen and the Dornish princess Myriah Martell, and held the title Prince of Dragonstone.
His frailty and his unusual behaviour set him apart from his siblings, and a chain of deaths within the royal family eventually placed him a step from the Iron Throne, as heir to his brother King Aerys I.
Chapter 1
The prince who danced naked through the Red Keep
Books only
Rhaegel came into the world as the third son of Daeron Targaryen — the future Daeron II — and the Dornish princess Myriah Martell. He was said to be docile, sickly and weak of mind, and more than once he was reportedly seen dancing naked through the corridors of the Red Keep.
A chain of deaths within the royal family left him next in line to succeed Aerys I, without his ever seeking it.
