War for the Stepstones

The War for the Stepstones pitted House Targaryen, allied with House Velaryon, against the Triarchy formed by Myr, Tyrosh, and Lys for control of the sea passage between Westeros and Essos.
It began in the year 106 AC and drew Daemon Targaryen and Corlys Velaryon into battle alongside the royal fleet in the Stepstones.

In the year 106, the Triarchy — the alliance of Myr, Tyrosh, and Lys — went to war against House Targaryen and its Velaryon allies for control of the Stepstones, the chain of islands guarding the route between Westeros and Essos.
Daemon Targaryen and Corlys Velaryon took up arms for the Targaryen side; Craghas Drahar stood among the Triarchy's leaders.
Chapter 2
The death of Craghas Drahar and the war's end
108–115 ACBooks only
In 108, Daemon Targaryen killed Craghas Drahar amid the fighting over the Stepstones.
The war continued until the year 115, when it ended in victory for the Kingdom of the Three Daughters.
