Battle of the Stepstones

The Battle of the Stepstones was the naval clash that decided control of that archipelago between the forces of Houses Targaryen and Velaryon and the Triarchy, the alliance of Myr, Tyrosh and Lys that held the islands.
It was fought as part of the war for that trade route, with Prince Daemon Targaryen leading the fight astride his dragon Caraxes.

Daemon TargaryenThe battle's outcome came with the death of Craghas Drahar, the warlord known as the Crabfeeder and leader of the Triarchy's forces in the Stepstones. Daemon Targaryen killed him personally, beheading him with his Valyrian steel sword, Dark Sister.
