Monterys Velaryon
Monterys Velaryon is the Lord of the Tides and Master of Driftmark, head of House Velaryon from a very young age.
His youth became a matter of comment at the court of Stannis Baratheon, during the War of the Five Kings, when the question of who should hold the office of Hand of the King came up.

Davos SeaworthHis father, Monford Velaryon, died in the battle of the Blackwater, and Monterys, still a child, became head of House Velaryon, holding the titles of Lord of the Tides and Master of Driftmark.
When Stannis Baratheon chose Davos Seaworth as his new Hand, Davos protested that there must surely be someone better suited to the post. Stannis answered that the new Lord Velaryon was a boy of six, making clear just whom he was comparing Davos to.
