House Rhysling
Casa Rhysling
House Rhysling was a noble family of the Reach, sworn to House Tyrell of Highgarden. Little survives of it beyond its blazon and a mention tied to the reign of Daeron II Targaryen, enough to place it among the minor nobility that upheld the power of the lords of the Reach.
Chapter 1
Sworn to Highgarden
Books only
House Rhysling swore fealty to House Tyrell of Highgarden, the great house that rules the Reach, joining the long list of minor families that upheld its power. Semi-canonical sources place it in the time of Daeron II Targaryen's reign, though no account gives it a seat or castle of its own.
Its blazon — an oaken door banded with iron, set into a grey stone doorway on a black brick field — is nearly all that survives of its identity. No chronicle records deeds, marriages, or quarrels among its members.
Chapter 2
A house gone missing
Books only
The sources give no account of how or why House Rhysling disappeared: they only place its extinction, imprecisely, somewhere between 211 and 298 years after the Conquest. No name, no cause, no heir survives — the house fades from the written record without anyone setting down its end.
