Garse Flowers is the bastard son of Garth Tyrell and, like all those born out of wedlock in the Reach, bears the surname Flores. His name surfaces through a court arrangement that would have secured him a place in the City Watch of King's Landing, a deal that was never fulfilled.

Garth Tyrell negotiated his own appointment as Master of Coin with the court at King's Landing, and the deal included a place for his son Garse among the Gold Cloaks of the City Watch.

Cersei Lannister broke that arrangement and gave the office of Master of Coin to Lord Gyles Rosby instead of Garth. It is unknown whether Garse, left without the sponsorship that was meant to secure him the post, joined the City Watch anyway.
