Casa Varner

House Varner is a noble house of the Reach, sworn to House Tyrell, bearing a white weasel in ermine as its device.

It descends from Andal adventurers who were granted wives and lands by the Gardener kings, and its ladies have been named among the possible matches proposed for Targaryen royalty.

House Varner's origin traces back to Andals who arrived in the Reach as adventurers. Kings Garth IX, Merle I, and Gwayne V Gardener granted them wives and lands, laying the foundations of the house.

After the death of Queen Jaehaera Targaryen, Lady Samantha Tarly wrote to the young King Aegon III Targaryen suggesting several candidates for a new marriage. Among the ladies of the Reach's noble houses she proposed were women of House Varner.
