Osmund Tyrell

Chapter 1
Ten years without a king
Books only
The Reach had gone nearly ten years without firm rule when Ser Osmund took charge. He gathered the lords who had been fighting over the region under the Gardener banner and confronted the Manderlys and the Peakes, whose feud had dragged the Reach into civil war.
Having beaten them, he reclaimed Highgarden, which the Dornish had sacked during those years of disorder.
Chapter 2

With the Reach subdued, Osmund crowned Mern VI Gardener, a second cousin of the previous king. As Grand Steward, he backed the rebuilding of Highgarden and helped House Gardener regain its lost authority little by little.
When he died, his son Robert succeeded him in the post.
