Walda Frey daughter of Walton

Not to be confused with Walda Frey · Walda Frey (daughter of Edwyn) · Walda Frey (daughter of Lothar) · Walda Frey (daughter of Rhaegar).

Walda Frey, known as Walda the Fair, is the daughter of Walton Frey and Deana Hardyng, one among the vast brood of the Twins.

She is remembered above all for a wedding that never became hers: when Lord Roose Bolton looks for a bride among the Frey maidens, everyone at the Twins assumes she will be his choice.

Chapter 1

The bride who wasn't

Books only

When the time comes for Roose Bolton to choose a wife among the daughters of House Frey, common opinion at the Twins points to Walda the Fair as the natural pick. But Lord Walder Frey offers Bolton the bride's weight in silver as a dowry, and Roose ends up choosing Walda's cousin instead — another Walda, known as "the Fat" precisely for outweighing her.

Walda is said to be among the fairest of the Frey girls at the Twins, and it is also common knowledge around the castle that she has slept with her cousin Walder the Black.

Chapter 2

The Tully wedding feast

Books only

At the wedding feast of Lord Edmure Tully and Lady Roslin Frey, Walda is seated between Robb Stark and Little Jon Umber.
