Roslin Frey

Roslin is offered in marriage to Edmure Tully to restore the alliance between House Stark and House Frey. She weeps through the entire ceremony, and arrives at the bedding trembling with fear.

Shortly after the wedding, the Freys turn on their guests and kill them. Edmure later claims that Roslin knew the plan beforehand and was forced to take part despite her reluctance — which he says explains her tears during the ceremony.

After the massacre, something shifts between Roslin and Edmure: she grows fond of him, and once she learns she is pregnant she prays for a girl, since Lord Walder would have Edmure executed if the child is a boy.

Ser Jaime Lannister promises Edmure that Roslin will be allowed to join him at Casterly Rock. Later, Jaime tells Tytos Blackwood that the plan is for Roslin to give birth at the Twins before she and the child travel on to join Edmure at Casterly Rock.
