Wendel Frey

Wendel is born in 286, one more name added to Lord Walder Frey's already long list of children, and the first born of his marriage to Annara Farring, the seventh Lady of the Crossing. Merrett Frey reports that talk circulated at the time of an affair between Annara and Black Walder Frey, gossip strong enough that some questioned who truly fathered her children.

Through the years of the Dance with Dragons he remains a page at Varamar. When the siege of the stronghold ends, he stays at his post: the man who brings it to a close, locking Lord Jason Mallister and his son Patrek inside their own castle, is someone spoken of there as Wendel's uncle, though his own place in the family is itself in question.
