Franklyn Frey
Franklyn Frey was one of the brothers of the lord of the Twins at a time when Aerys I Targaryen sat the Iron Throne. Little else about him has survived except one detail: he was known as a capable jouster.
That reputation rests on two tournaments that are on record, Vado Ceniza and Murosblancos, and little beyond them.
Chapter 1
The tourney at Vado Ceniza
Books only
Franklyn entered as a competitor in the tournament held at Vado Ceniza, at a time when his brother already headed House Frey under the reign of Aerys I. How he fared in his tilts, or how long he lasted, is not recorded; the only certainty is that his name is among the jousters who took part.
Chapter 2
Five tilts and a defeat at Murosblancos
Books only
At the Murosblancos tournament he fared better. He faced Ser Harbert Paege and beat him, though it took five tilts to settle the match. In his next joust the result went the other way: Ser John the Fiddler defeated him.
