Maron Greyjoy

Maron Greyjoy was the second son of Lord Balon Greyjoy and Lady Alannys Harlaw, born into the house that ruled the Iron Islands. He died young, during the rebellion with which his father defied King Robert I.

When Lord Balon rose in rebellion against Robert I, believing other great houses of the realm would join him against the newly crowned king, the Crown's forces struck back by attacking Pyke, the seat of House Greyjoy.

Maron was among the defenders who held the castle's walls. He died there, crushed when the South Tower collapsed during the siege.
