Oswin Arryn
On this tab
Oswin Arryn, nicknamed the Claw, was King of Mountain and Vale, son of King Osgood Arryn.
His name became tied to the war his father waged against Winterfell, when a fire he himself set at a northern castle earned him the nickname by which the Vale remembered him.
Burning of Wolf's Den
King Osgood Arryn led the war that pitted the Vale against Winterfell, and brought his forces to besiege Wolf's Den. It was there that Oswin set the castle ablaze.
That fire earned him the nickname the Claw, by which he was known as his father's successor over Mountain and Vale.
