The ride to King's Landing
282 ACBooks only
When Brandon Stark learned that Prince Rhaegar Targaryen had taken his sister Lyanna, he gathered a small band of companions and rode for the capital. Elbert was among them.
Once inside the Red Keep, they loudly demanded a duel between Rhaegar and Brandon. King Aerys II Targaryen answered by having them all arrested and summoning their fathers to answer for what he called treason.
Of the whole group, only Ethan Glover walked away alive; Elbert was put to death along with the rest in 282.
