House Lynderly of the Snakewood
On this tab
House Lynderly of the Snakewood is a noble family of the Vale of Arryn, sworn to House Arryn and lords of the lands that give it its name.
Its knights step forward to defend their lords' honor at the Eyrie, and later the house counts among the allies of the man who pulls the Vale's strings.
Trial of Tyrion
When Tyrion Lannister demands trial by combat to clear the charge against him, among those gathered at the Eyrie stands a knight bearing the green vipers of House Lynderly on his chest.
He is young, and he is also the first to step forward: he offers his sword to Lady Lysa Tully before any other knight of the Vale can speak.

Allies of Littlefinger
Years later, Petyr Baelish tells Sansa Stark who he can count on in the Vale, and Lord Jon Lynderly is among those names. Littlefinger asks him, together with Lord Gerold Grafton, to send a son to the Eyrie: he wants to raise squires for Robert Arryn from the children of the houses loyal to him.
Lord Lynderly also attends the wedding of Lord Lyonel Corbray, a ceremony several of the so-called Lords Declarant stay away from. Around the same time, Terrance Lynderly rides down from the Eyrie to the Gates of the Moon at Lord Robert's side, together with Gyles Grafton.
