House Wydman is a noble family of the Vale of Arryn, sworn to House Arryn. No seat is known for them, but their coat of arms tells its own story: five splintered lances and the arms of as many noble houses, a memory of the feat that gave the line its start.

House Wydman traces its origin to a tournament where its founder, a simple knight, unhorsed five rivals drawn from some of the most important houses of the Vale and the Westerlands: Redfort, Lynderly, Waynwood, Brax and Lannister.
From that afternoon of broken lances came the family's coat of arms: five splintered lances on a field of gold, crowned by the emblems of the five defeated houses. A later, uncertain motto, "Right Conquers Might", sums up how the Wydmans have chosen to remember that founding day.
