House Templeton
Casa Templeton de Nuevestrellas
House Templeton of Ninestars is a knightly house of the Vale of Arryn, sworn to House Arryn of the Eyrie and holding Ninestars as its seat. Bearing the title Knight of Ninestars, its members turn up in several of the episodes that shaped the Vale's history, from the Andal conquest to the Targaryen dynastic wars.
Its arms show nine gold stars on a black saltire, eight with six points and one with seven, a device that sets it apart among the Vale's lesser houses.
Chapter 1
The knight who killed the last Bronze King
Books only
House Templeton sided with Ser Artys Arryn when he rose against King Robar II Royce, the last of the Vale's Bronze Kings. It's said that the reigning Knight of Ninestars, Ser Luceon Templeton, was the one who killed him, though the story sounds more like a handed-down legend than a proven fact.
Chapter 2
The Vale's war of succession

After Lady Jeyne Arryn, Lady of the Eyrie, died and her regent Ser Corwyn Corbray was murdered, the Vale fell into a war of succession while Aegon III Targaryen sat the Iron Throne. The Templetons threw in with Ser Arnold Arryn and House Royce in that struggle over the lordship.
Chapter 3

When the Blackfyre Rebellion broke out, House Templeton stayed loyal to the king and the Targaryens. At the Battle of the Redgrass Field, its knight fought in Lord Arryn's ranks and fell there, killed by Daemon Blackfyre.
Chapter 4
An unconfirmed kinship

The sources say, without certainty, that Benedict Royce and Jocelyn Stark had three daughters and that one of them ended up married to a member of House Templeton.
