Aegon Targaryen was Lord of Dragonstone and head of House Targaryen, son of Lord Gaemon Targaryen and his sister-wife, Lady Daenys.
Following the custom of his house, he married his own sister, Elaena, and had two sons with her, Maegon and Aerys.

Aegon was born on Dragonstone, the only son of Lord Gaemon Targaryen and his sister-wife, Lady Daenys, and in time inherited from his father the title of Lord of Dragonstone and the headship of House Targaryen.
Following Targaryen custom, he took his own sister, Elaena, as his wife. Two sons were born of that marriage, Maegon and Aerys.
