Duel of the Cargyll twins
duelo de los gemelos Cargyll
Arryk and Erryk Cargyll were identical twins who wore the white cloak of the Kingsguard, so alike that even their own sworn brothers couldn't tell them apart.
When the realm split between Aegon II and Rhaenyra Targaryen, each twin swore to a different side, and the war eventually sent one to find the other.

Criston Cole's order

After the murder of Prince Jaehaerys, Aegon II's son, the king wanted retribution against Rhaenyra. Ser Criston Cole, commander of the Kingsguard, gave Arryk his task: slip into Dragonstone disguised as his brother Erryk. Whether the target was the queen herself or her children was never settled.
Arryk took no pleasure in the order. The night before he left, he prayed for forgiveness in the sept of the Red Keep. He reached the island dressed as a fisherman, then put on his white armor and cloak once there; he knew the castle so well that getting in cost him no effort at all.
Chapter 2
Three accounts, one death
129 ACBooks and show
On his way to the royal chambers, Arryk ran into his twin. Erryk understood at once why his brother had come, and both men drew their swords. The chronicles of the Dance disagree on what followed: Septon Eustace simply says the brothers killed each other, while a song composed years later claims they declared their love before crossing blades.
Munkun's account describes a fight lasting almost an hour that woke half of Rhaenyra's court, none of whom could tell which twin was which; in the end both fell mortally wounded and died weeping in each other's arms. Mushroom tells it differently: the clash lasted only moments, and the brothers called each other traitors rather than declaring anything. Erryk struck first, nearly severing Arryk's arm; Arryk, already on the ground, pulled his brother close by the cloak and drove a dagger into his belly. Arryk died on the spot; Erryk lingered four days, cursing his brother between screams of pain.
