Lyman Beesbury was a lord of House Beesbury who held a seat on the king's council in King's Landing, on the green side, when the throne fell vacant after the death of Viserys I.
No single account of his death survives: the chroniclers who recorded it — none of them present save one — cannot even agree on where or how it happened.

Criston ColeBeesbury sat with the Hightowers and their allies, backing Aegon's claim to the throne, when Ser Criston Cole ended his life in the middle of the council chamber, with Otto and Alicent Hightower looking on.
What exactly happened has come down in three accounts that cannot be reconciled. Grand Maester Orwyle, the only one of the three who was actually there, held that Beesbury froze to death in the black cells; septon Eustace wrote that Cole cut his throat; Mushroom claimed he was thrown from a window. Gyldayn, weighing the accounts, trusts Maester Munkun — who follows Orwyle — the most, and the fool the least.
