House Slynt of Harrenhal
Casa Slynt de Harrenhal
House Slynt of Harrenhal was a vassal house of the Baratheons of King's Landing, created in 298 AC when King Joffrey I rewarded Janos Slynt, the former commander of the City Watch, with a lordship and the castle of Harrenhal.
Its arms, a bloodied gold spear on black within a checkered border, crowned a lordship that barely had time to settle before the crown itself took the castle back.

The castle taken back
Books and show
House Slynt's hold on Harrenhal did not last. Tywin Lannister sent his son Tyrion to King's Landing to act as Hand of the King in his stead, and Tyrion judged Janos Slynt unfit to keep so important a castle.
Tyrion stripped him of Harrenhal and shipped him off to the Wall to take the black of the Night's Watch. House Slynt of Harrenhal, barely founded, was left without the very stronghold that gave it its name.
