Raymont Baratheon was a younger son of Orys Baratheon and Argella Durrandon, and served as a knight and sworn brother of the Kingsguard to his cousin, King Aenys I Targaryen.
His name is tied to a night when two armed men reached the king's own bedside and failed to kill him.

Orys Baratheon and Argella Durrandon had Raymont as one of their younger sons. Through that kinship he was a cousin of King Aenys I Targaryen, and entered his service as a knight and sworn brother of the Kingsguard.

In 41 AC, two Poor Fellows managed to slip unseen into the king's residence on Visenya's Hill, intending to kill him in his sleep.
Raymont, as one of the king's sworn guards, foiled the attack and kept him alive.
