Raymont Baratheon was a younger son of Orys Baratheon and Argella Durrandon, and served as a knight and sworn brother of the Kingsguard to his cousin, King Aenys I Targaryen.

His name is tied to a night when two armed men reached the king's own bedside and failed to kill him.

Raymont, as one of the king's sworn guards, foiled the attack and kept him alive.
