Martyn Hightower was the second son of Lord Ormund Hightower, Voice of Oldtown, and brother to Lyonel, Garmund and Bethany.

As a young man he left Oldtown to serve as a squire in the lands of House Redwyne, at the Arbor.

Early Life

Martyn was born of Ormund Hightower's first marriage, the second son after Lyonel and before Garmund, with Bethany as his only sister.

By 131 AC he had already left Oldtown to train as a squire in the service of Lord Redwyne, at the Arbor.
