Alerie Hightower is the second daughter of Lord Leyton Hightower of Oldtown and the wife of Mace Tyrell, Lord of Highgarden. Their marriage produced four children, Willas, Garlan, Loras and Margaery, binding together two of the great houses of the Reach.

Alerie is born in Oldtown around the year 260, daughter of Leyton Hightower and Rhea Florent. In time she marries Mace Tyrell and becomes Lady of Highgarden.
The marriage gives her four children, Willas, Garlan, Loras and Margaery, who will carry much of House Tyrell's weight in the years to come.

Margaery's retinue

When Margaery arrives at King's Landing, Alerie travels with her among her retinue. She is present at her daughter's wedding to King Joffrey Baratheon.

The funeral and the return to Highgarden
