Aenys Frey

Married to Tyana Wylde and father of two sons, Aegon and Rhaegar, Ser Aenys is present at the Twins when Catelyn Tully arrives at his father's castle to treat with Lord Walder Frey.

When Roose Bolton's army takes Harrenhal with the help of the Bloody Mummers, it is Ser Aenys who commands the fifteen hundred men the Frey house puts at his service, though the post seems to weigh on him: he often looks lost and reluctant to take charge.

After Stannis Baratheon's defeat on the Blackwater, he suggests falling back north, convinced Lord Bolton cannot hold the castle if Tywin Lannister attacks with his full strength. Bolton replies that Lannister must first see to his grandson's wedding, and so will not come at once.

Ser Aenys is among the Freys present when the Bloody Mummers bring Jaime Lannister and Brienne of Tarth to Harrenhal as prisoners. Hearing Brienne explain why she is taking the Kingslayer back to King's Landing, he stays indifferent, unmoved by what it might mean.

When Lord Bolton sends Frey troops to retake the North, Ser Aenys shares command with Ser Hosteen Frey over two hundred fighting men.

Ser Aenys attends the wedding of Ramsay Bolton to the girl presented as Arya Stark. When the men-at-arms are found murdered, he is the first to point at Theon Greyjoy, until Barbrey Ryswell points out that Theon has neither the strength nor the will for such a thing.

Around the same time, his second son, Rhaegar, is one of three Freys lost on the road between White Harbor and Winterfell. Soon after, Roose Bolton sends Ser Aenys together with Ser Hosteen to the vanguard against Stannis Baratheon.

He is described as a tall man with large, watery eyes and knobby hands, bald, with a thin beard that fails to hide a weak chin. He is an experienced soldier, but more of a commander than a swordsman: those who know him consider him clever and mean-spirited.
