House Thorne is a minor family of the Crownlands, sworn to House Baratheon of King's Landing. No source gives it a castle of its own or a fixed place on the map: the only thing that has survived about it is its coat of arms.

A shield without a castle

No record survives of a Thorne seat, of a named lord, or of any deed that lifts the family out of obscurity. What holds them together as a house is their declared loyalty to the Baratheons who rule from King's Landing, within the Crownlands.

Only their coat of arms has come down to us, and even that with a caveat: the sources that record it are not considered fully reliable. On a red field sits a silver flail, framed by a black rayed border.
