House Greystark was a cadet branch of House Stark that arose in the time of the Kings of Winter, settling at the Wolf's Den, the stronghold by White Harbor that over the centuries would become the city's prison.

For five hundred years it was one of the North's lesser houses, bound by blood to the Starks of Winterfell.

Origins

The Greystarks began as a cadet branch of House Stark in the time of the Kings of Winter, taking their seat at the Wolf's Den, a stronghold by White Harbor.

Over the centuries that same fortress would stop being the Greystarks' home and become the city's prison instead.

Rebellion with the Boltons

After five centuries at the Wolf's Den, the Greystarks joined House Bolton in a rebellion against the Starks of Winterfell.
