Brandon Stark served as Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North during the reign of Daeron II Targaryen, heading House Stark in a generation that left little mark on the record.
The title came to him after the death of his brother Barthogan, killed during an uprising on Skagos, leaving Brandon to settle the house back into its place in the North.
Chapter 1
One son among five brothers
Books only
Brandon was born the fifth son of Cregan Stark and his third wife, Lynara Stark, growing up alongside four siblings: Jonnel, Edric, Lyanna and Barthogan.
Before any marriage he had an affair with Wylla Fenn, which produced a bastard son, Lonnel Snow. He later married Alys Karstark, and together they had three children: Rodwell, Beron and Arsa.
Chapter 2
Lord of Winterfell after the Skagosi revolt
Books only
Brandon inherited Winterfell after the death of his brother Barthogan, who had fallen during an uprising on Skagos. He is credited with ending that revolt, though the account presents it as something said of him rather than a settled fact.
He ruled the North as Warden under the reign of Daeron II Targaryen, and on his death was buried in the crypts of Winterfell. His son Rodwell succeeded him.
