House Fisher of the Stony Shore

Before House Stark unified the North under its crown, the Fishers ruled as kings over the rocky stretch of the western coast.

Their kingship ended when the Starks brought them to heel and made them bannermen, leaving them lords of the Stony Shore instead of a crown.

As Lords of the Stony Shore, the Fishers answer to Winterfell and govern that stretch of coast in the Starks' name.

Another family shares their surname, the Fishers of the Misty Isle, who once ruled as Kings of the Trident in the Riverlands, though whether the two houses share any kinship is unknown.
