Barthogan Stark
Barthogan Stark was head of House Stark, Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North during the reign of Daeron II Targaryen. Known as Barth Blacksword, his rule was marked by an uprising on the island of Skagos, within the very North he governed.
Chapter 1
The third son who inherited Winterfell

Barthogan Stark was the third son of Lord Cregan Stark and Cregan's third wife, Lady Lynara Stark. He inherited the title of Lord of Winterfell upon the death of his brother Jonnel, and with it the title of Warden of the North.
His lordship fell during the reign of Daeron II Targaryen. In the chronicles of the North he became known by the nickname Barth Blacksword.
Chapter 2
The Skagos rebellion

During his lordship, the people of the island of Skagos rose against his authority. Putting down the revolt cost thousands of lives.
Lord Barthogan himself was among the dead. He was succeeded by his brother Brandon, and his remains were laid in the crypts of Winterfell.
