Brandon Stark was a son of Brandon the Builder, the legendary lord of House Stark credited by tradition with founding Winterfell and the Night's Watch.

Little memory of his own survives: the tales that mention him are old and contradict one another, and it is not even clear whether he ever ruled the North.

The other builder of the Lighthouse

Books only

Tradition about the Lighthouse is split between two versions: some say King Uthor of the Lighthouse commissioned its design from Brandon the Builder, while others give the commission instead to this son of his. Neither account wins out as the true one.

It is likewise unknown whether Brandon ever wore the crown of the Kings in the North after his father. What little survives of him neither confirms nor rules it out.
