House Ryder of the Rills was a noble house of the North, seated at the Rills and sworn to House Stark of Winterfell.

Before that submission, the Ryders had ruled as kings in their own right, one of the northern lines the Starks brought to heel as bannermen.

The Ryders ruled as kings in the North before House Stark imposed its authority over the region. Their defeat turned them into vassals, and from then on they held the Rills as lords under Winterfell's command.
