House Liddle

On his way to the Wall with Hodor, Meera, and Jojen Reed, Bran Stark recalls that there are Liddles living in the northern mountains. Along the road they come across a man of the mountain clans, whom Bran identifies as one of them by the gold-and-bronze pinecone brooch closing his cloak.

The man shares food with them — oatcakes, blood sausage, ale — without asking who they are or giving his own name.

In those same pages, Maester Aemon sends ravens to most of the noble houses of the North asking for help against the wildlings besieging Castle Black; the Liddles are among those he writes to.

Morgan Liddle joins the army Stannis Baratheon leads to Deepwood Motte and takes part in its recapture.

After the battle he apologizes to Asha Greyjoy for the insults he threw at her during the fighting.
