Garon Baratheon

At some point in his life Garon married and had children, though almost nothing survives of that marriage.

He was in King's Landing when his brother Rogar resigned as Hand of the King, and he returned with him to Storm's End.

Rogar had schemed twice to depose Jaehaerys I and crown someone else in his place. Before matters went further, he put in writing a will and confession clearing Garon and their brothers Borys and Ronnal of any part in his plans.

In the year 50 AC, King Jaehaerys I summoned Rogar to King's Landing. Garon and his brother Ronnal urged Rogar to declare himself in rebellion rather than answer the summons.

A year later, Garon travelled to the capital again with Rogar, Ronnal, and Rogar's wife, the widowed queen Alyssa Velaryon, to attend Jaehaerys I's second wedding, this time to Queen Alysanne Targaryen.

In the year 53 AC Alyssa Velaryon died in childbirth, and her daughter, Queen Rhaena, travelled to Storm's End. Garon stood with his brothers when Rhaena threatened Rogar; none of them seemed troubled by the warning, and they even laughed it off.

That same year Rogar had a daughter, Jocelyn, and sent Garon to invite King Jaehaerys I and Queen Alysanne to stay at Storm's End for the feast marking her birth.

In the year 55 AC, Garon competed in the tourney held at King's Landing to mark the completion of the Dragonpit.

At some later point he was widowed, when his wife fell victim to the Shivers.

In the year 61 AC it became known that his brother Borys had joined forces with a Vulture King. Rogar, by then gravely ill, wanted to ride out against the threat; Garon called it "folly", but Rogar went anyway, with help from Jaehaerys I himself. Garon was at his side when he died, half a year after Rogar returned from the Third Dornish War.

He was held to be a capable and loyal man, though he was never a match for Borys.

Having outlived all his brothers, Garon became regent of Storm's End until his nephew Boremund came of age.

In the year 73 AC, Garon and Boremund dealt with Ser Lucamore Strong's third "wife" and the children he had had with her.
