Mace Baratheon

Mace Baratheon is one of the fifteen children born to William Baratheon and Martyna Mullendore, known to the atlas through a bare genealogical mention tied to the television series. He has no scenes of his own and no story to tell: his place here is that of a name within a list of siblings.

What little is known of him comes entirely from an in-universe dynastic document used as production material, and that document holds a curiosity: the Baratheon lineage he belongs to is filed alongside that of an altogether different house.

Mace was born into the household of William Baratheon and Martyna Mullendore, a couple with an unusually large brood: fourteen other siblings besides him, among them another William, Jon, Martyn, Orys, Theodor, Bryte, Tommax, Brune, Gude, Lex, Lorax, Wineiri, Miriam and Argella.

No text explains what role he played within the family, whether he married, or whether he held any title of his own. The atlas catalogue lists him as deceased, but no account of how or when he died survives.

A surname filed under the wrong tree

The only surviving record of Mace and his entire branch of the family sits, curiously, within the section devoted to House Umber in the genealogical document the show's production prepared on the great lineages of the Seven Kingdoms, rather than under his own surname.

In the A Song of Ice and Fire novels, no character named Mace Baratheon ever appears: his existence belongs entirely to material produced around the television adaptation.

Wikidata la afirma sin matiz porque el dato llega invertido desde la lista de hijos (P40) y ese camino no lee la anotacion. Se registra como duda y no como enlace de parentesco: si Aerion fuera su padre, Orys seria hijo bastardo suyo, porque Aerion estaba casado con Valaena Velaryon, madre de Aegon I, Visenya y Rhaenys. Publicar la paternidad y negar la bastardia a la vez era incoherente
