Gowen Baratheon was the third son of a Lord of Storm's End. His marriage to Tya Lannister remained the last union between House Baratheon and House Lannister until, some seven decades later, Robert Baratheon wed Cersei Lannister.
Birth and Marriage
Gowen was born at Storm's End, the third son of its lord. In time he married Tya Lannister, a union that would not be repeated between House Baratheon and House Lannister for generations.

Gowen and Tya had a black-haired son who died in infancy. Nearly seventy-seven years would pass before another marriage joined the two houses again, that of Robert Baratheon and Cersei Lannister.
