Martyn Baratheon

Martyn Baratheon was one of the fifteen children of William Baratheon and Martyna Mullendore, a lateral branch of House Baratheon known only from a genealogy drawn up for television. No known event names him as a participant: his place on that family tree is the only thing that has come down to us.

Chapter 1

A name in the family tree

Show only

The House Baratheon genealogy prepared for the show places Martyn among the fifteen children of William Baratheon and Martyna Mullendore. His siblings are Jon, Mace, Orys, Theodor, Bryte, Tommax, Brune, Gude, Lex, Lorax, Wineiri, Miriam, Argella, and another William, sharing his father's name.

That family tree isn't filed under a chapter of its own for the Baratheons: it sits inside the section devoted to House Umber, in the prop volume Lineages and Histories of the Great Houses of the Seven Kingdoms, which is where the record comes from. In the A Song of Ice and Fire novels, by contrast, Martyn Baratheon doesn't exist at all: he belongs only to that on-screen material.
