Jon Stark
Jon Stark was King in the North and Lord of Winterfell, heading House Stark in an age when the crown was still theirs by right.
He is remembered for clearing the east coast of invaders and for leaving behind a stronghold there that would in time grow into White Harbor.

The king who drove out the pirates
Books only
During his reign, a band of pirates settled on the North's east coast. Jon Stark drove them out and raised a castle on that same spot to secure the area.
That castle would in time become the seed of White Harbor. On his death, the title of King in the North passed to his son Rickard.
