Loreon III Lannister, called Loreon the Limp, was King of the Rock and Lord of Casterly Rock as head of House Lannister. He succeeded his father, King Lancel I, on the throne.

When Lancel I died, the crown of the Rock passed to his son Loreon III. The new king thus inherited everything his father had added to the Lannister domains through his campaigns.
That was precisely where Loreon III failed: he lost, one after another, the territories his father had conquered. That inability to hold on to what had been won earned him the nickname by which he is remembered.
