House Greenfield of Greenfield

Casa Greenfield de Pradal

House Greenfield of Greenfield is a knightly house of the Westerlands, sworn to House Lannister of Casterly Rock. It descends from the First Men, and its name goes back to a castle raised entirely from weirwood trees, long before the Conquest.

Chapter 1

The weirwood castle

Books only

The Greenfields' origins lie in the golden age of the First Men, when strongholds in Westeros were still built from the pale wood of weirwood trees.

From that time comes the Enreradera, the castle that gave the house its name and which, as the story goes, was built entirely out of those trees.
