Tywald Lannister
Tywald Lannister was the firstborn son of Lord Gerold Lannister and Lady Rohanne Webber, and thus heir to Casterly Rock. He was betrothed to Ellyn Reyne when the Peake Uprising crossed his path: he died in 233 AC, before the wedding could take place.

The heir to Casterly Rock
Books only
As the son of Lord Gerold Lannister and his second wife, Lady Rohanne Webber, Tywald stood first in the line of succession to Casterly Rock. He was Tion's elder twin and had two more brothers, Tytos and Jason.
Ellyn Reyne, daughter of Lord Robert Reyne, was the bride his family arranged for him; it was alongside that same Lord Reyne that Tywald would later fight, in the Peake Uprising.
Chapter 2
The Peake Uprising
233 ACBooks only
Tywald was squire to Lord Robert Reyne when the Peake Uprising broke out in 233 AC. A spear struck him as he passed through a castle's gates; dying, he was knighted before the end came.
He died at Starpike in the arms of his twin brother Tion, squire to Prince Aegon Targaryen. Tion later recounted that Tywald's dying words asked him to look after Lady Ellyn, an account that eventually led Lord Gerold to betroth Tion to her.
