The origins of House Drox trace back to the Andal invasion of the Westerlands. The Kings of the Rock of that era chose not to wipe out the invaders but to absorb them, marrying their children to Andals and turning former enemies into subjects.
House Drox emerged from that policy, of Andal ancestry, folded into House Lannister of Casterly Rock's domain as a vassal house. No source records that it was ever granted a seat of its own.
