Loreon IV Lannister was head of House Lannister, Lord of Casterly Rock and King of the Rock, in the era when the Lannisters still ruled the west as independent kings.
He is remembered mostly for the name his contemporaries gave him, Loreon the Fool, a nickname that summed up how he was seen as a ruler.
Reign at Casterly Rock
As head of House Lannister, Loreon IV inherited the lordship of Casterly Rock and with it the crown of King of the Rock.
The name he is remembered by, the Fool, was not idle mockery: his subjects gave it to him for the weakness they saw in him as a ruler.
