House Moreland

Tradition credits the family's origin to Pate the Plowman, a hero from the days when the First Men still peopled the Westerlands. No dates or deeds accompany his name, only the legend that the Morelands descend from him.

Nothing else survives from those early centuries. Between that legendary origin and the house's present, no source fills the gap.

The Morelands serve House Lannister of Casterly Rock, with no known seat of their own recorded. Their coat of arms, a barry field per pale in tenné and vert, is the one heraldic mark that sets them apart.

Robin Moreland now heads the house, carrying on a fealty to Lannister rule whose beginning goes unrecorded.
