Casa Yew
House Yew is a minor noble family of the Westerlands, sworn to House Lannister of Casterly Rock.
Tradition traces its line back to a legendary archer from the age of the First Men, though little more than his name survives of that story.

The Yews serve as knights to House Lannister and answer to Casterly Rock as their sworn house in the Westerlands.
Their arms show a golden longbow on a field of silver, flanked by two curved bends of red; this detail comes from sources considered only semi-canonical, not from the novels.
The current head of the house is Manfryd Yew.
Chapter 2
The Blind Archer
Books only
The house's legends name Alan of the Oak, a First Men hero known as the Blind Archer, as its founder.
Nothing survives of him beyond the name and the epithet, which the house still claims as its origin.
